Before you begin
Your throttle tube must have a solid closed end with a center hole at least 6 mm in diameter. This hole is required for proper fit and retention of the assembly.
Installation steps
-
Prepare the grip. With the grip installed on the throttle tube, cut a clean 5 mm hole through the end of the grip to match the hole in the throttle tube.
-
Load the assembly into the installation tool. Place the complete throttle bearings into the installation tool provided.
-
Separate the bolt and bar end. Use a 6 mm Allen key on the side of the tool and a 4 mm Allen key on the bar end to loosen the assembly and remove the bolt. Keep the tool facing upward so the internal components remain inside.

-
Insert the bar end and bolt. From the outside of the throttle tube, place the bolt and bar end through the grip and into the throttle tube.
- Thread the internal assembly. Insert the installation tool (holding the internal components) into the inside of the throttle tube and thread it onto the bolt. Tighten until snug and secure.
-
Remove and keep the tool. Pull the installation tool out and store it safely. You will need it again when changing grips or throttle tubes.
-
Install the handlebar bushing. Insert the plastic bushing into the handlebar, it should be slightly snug, use o-rings if required.
- 13.9 mm to 14.5 mm inner diameter: no o-rings required.
- 14.5 mm to 14.9 mm: install the O-rings in the groove.

-
Lubricate the bushing contact points. Before installing the throttle, apply a small amount of grease to the inside of the bushing and the outside lip of the bushing for the smoothest operation.
-
Install the throttle assembly. Slide the complete throttle assembly onto the handlebar, ensuring it fully seats into the insert.
